for the whole bed, I looked
between tiles,
I looked under the mat

until the staircase light is extinguished.

These Latowicki , 32, was born and lives in Tel Aviv.
a degree in Hebrew literature at Ben Gurion airport to Jerusalem where he now is a researcher, was the guest last September at the Literature Festival of Mantua.

His verses have already been published on the web, particularly on the site Shireshet periodicals, literary, and included in anthologies. Translated into English, Polish and Italian, appear in the collection " Strong as death is love ", also present in these pages, also published by Belforte and curated by Sara Ferrari, who has also translated This first collection of poems by the young Israeli poet.

Camera Obscura is a small volume, which contained 16 poems are characterized by extreme immediacy, sometimes poignant shots that reveal unexpected and daring, and ruthless with photographic clarity, those recurring elements in the verses, and in life, the poet, the earth, love, conflict, and loneliness. With his poetry, simple and direct, she is able split into frames of reality and crystallize it in words, transforming them into scenes of great emotional force. The love theme, always manifests itself detached from emotion, and human experience becomes pure, instinctive, primal, complementary to the suffering and anguish.

With regard to the difficult political situation in Israel, the poet, as often happens at home, transforms his poems in a medium of protest, the strong showing of hardship people faced with a conflict to which she obliged and infinite, almost with horror, he realizes to be accustomed, and face, where it is most probable, the dark manipulation of the Holocaust in which a policy is not properly correct, sometimes arrives.

The body, the first star of the poetry of such, reveals more and more restless in its nature and fragile, full of suffering and passion, and the beautiful and dramatic backdrop of Tel Aviv city paints a cold, hard, unclean and chaotic, but perhaps for this reason love.

100 years since the birth of the great Italian intellectual, Elsinore Theatre Company and the Cultural Centre in Milan has created the project Milan discovers Guareschi Guareschi Milan discovers a series of events organized November 14 to 30 Teatro Bramante in the frame of Fontana Hall tribute to a hero of our historical and literary culture, tracing its remarkable artistic life, full of successes but full of controversy and contradictions.

The most significant event, clearly shows the popularity Giovanni Guareschi obtained not only in Emilia in Italy but all over the world, is the exhibition Don Camillo in the world: the covers and illustrations Piccolo Mondo, an extraordinary collection of the best covers and illustrations of Guareschi's books in all its editions, evidence of its durable success. The Guareschi, the surprise of the author same, only surpassed a million copies in Italy, to arrive today to twenty million in 400 editions, translated into over 50 languages.

The exhibition highlights the works of artists who have better understood and interpreted the complex figures of Don Camillo of Peppone and character of the Little World , leaders by a different image from the illustrations of Guareschi himself, and the film adaptations.
